The charges for the prospectus, application form and processing is Rs. 3,000/- to be deposited in cash at the Admission Office counter in person. Requests by mail should be accompanied by a bank draft of Rs. 3000/-plus Rs 200/- postal charges, made in Favour Yusra Medical & Dental College Islamabad.

Note: No personal cheques are acceptable.

Admission to The college

The total seats allocated for admission in the College are 100 students in each session including Pakistani, expatriates and foreigners. The admission on all seats is based on merit; which is applied without discrimination of gender, color, creed, race, religion, or domicile.Completed applications can be sent to the Admission Office SZABMU not later than the dates mentioned in the schedule of admission published in the newspaper/website of SZABMU and YM&DC.

Foreign students seeking admission in the YM&DC can submit their applications along with application fee through their respective Embassies/High Commissions.

The admission forms and salient features of the prospectus are also hosted on the website The candidates may download the application form from website and post to SZABMU.

Prerequisites for Pakistani Candidates

FSc (Pre-Medical Group) securing at least 60% (unadjusted) marks.
Examination equivalent to FSc from a foreign university examination body/foreign education system with three science subjects out of which Chemistry and Biology are essential subjects with 60% marks in aggregate as certified by the IBCC.

Entry test of Education Testing Council (ETC) is mandatory for admission in MBBS. Aspiring candidates have already been informed to visit link for online registration of said entry test.

Prerequisites for Overseas Candidates

15 x candidates to be admitted in Expatriate / Foreigner Category. Following category of students shall be eligible for admission on Foreign
/ Expatriate seats:-
Foreigners and Pakistanis having dual nationality / resident status of a foreign country. Foreigner expatiate who studied while staying abroad and have passed SSC and HSSC, A level, grade 12 or eqivalent with 60% or more marks.
SAT-II Examination score with minimum 550 marks in each of three subjects or MCAT of minimum aggregate score of 24.
An alternate to SAT-II / MCAT is the Entry test of Educational Testing Council (ETC).
TOEFL or ILETS with score of 500 or 5.5 only if the medium of instructions of study two years prior to admission / entry test is not English.

Documents to be Submitted with Application Form

A candidate, who is eligible for admission, must submit attested copies of the following documents (as indicated against each) along with the application form and the Deposit Slip covering the application fee within the published deadlines.

SSC or equivalent certificate (one copy).
HSSC or equivalent certificate (one copy).
National Identity Card/Form B of the candidate (one copy).
National Identity Card of Father/Guardian (one copy).
Domicile (copy)
Three recent passport size coloured photographs of the applicant.
Admission test score.


Proof of dual nationality i.e. NIC from Pakistan (Photocopy) and Proof of foreign nationality.
Passport with Visa (Photocopy)
SAT II examination score with minimum 550 marks in each subject (if required) or MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24.
Valid TOEFL or IELTS with a score of 500 or 5.5 respectively (If required)
NOC from Embassy of respective country is

Entry Test

Federal Governments will hold Central Entry Test (under the supervision of an authorized public Sector university for admission in MBBS/BDS in their respective provinces/Capital territory through ETC to determine the merit.
No admission will be given without entry test and an alternative to the entry test for Expatriate/Foreign students is provision of SAT-II examination result with minimum 550 marks in each of the three science subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are compulsory.
SZABMU will also process the admission for foreign/expatritae students fulfilling the eligibility criteria for MBBS/BDS.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide result of Entry Test from the Education Testing Council (ETC).
All admission in YM&DC will be completed by 31st December and list of the admitted students will be sent to PM&DC.

Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure

The applications for admission are reviewed by the College Admission Committee.
It is mandatory for all the applicants, to appear in the Entry Test.
The candidate can apply only as Pakistani Resident or Expatriate/Foreigner. The applications to change the status from Pakistani to expatriate will only be considered if there are seats left in the Expatriate/ Foreign Category.
The weightage of all the components of the Admission process i.e. the academic achievements in SSC, HSSC or its equivalent examination, and the Entry Test marks are added to determine the final merit.

Period of study & Policy for Refund of Fee

A) Before commencement of the classes or within 15 days of start of session.
(100% refund of dues except Admission Fee)

B) If leaves within Three months.
(Deduction of Fee of study period)

C) If leaves after three months.
(No amount is refunded)

Students Registration
The students admitted in college will be registered with SZABMU. The MBBS students will also be registered with the PM&DC, by 31st March each year through the Principal's office, failing which they would not be allowed to continue further studies. It is binding on the students and the College to ensure compliance. A student shall be registered as a medical student only if he/she fulfils the admission criteria and falls within the seats allowed to the college.
