Medical Education Department


The department of medical education is established to monitor the educational activities in the college and to plan training programs for students and teachers. This department primarily focuses on activities that promote and support development of faculty. It also monitors the performance of the students in various internal and university examinations. It is also a centre for development of various modules of integrated curriculum and conducts workshops on teaching, learning methods, PBLs etc.

Learning Strategies

The faculty of Yusra Medical and Dental College endeavours to develop doctors who are observant, able to think critically, project their ideas in coordinated manners and execute their plans efficiently. To achieve these objectives following modalities of learning and teaching are available:-

Electronic model Lab

A Electronic model lab is established which contains 35 electronic models covering all parts of body.


A well-furnished, fully air-conditioned library which provides a comfortable and conducive learning environment has been established. Various text books and periodicals have been placed for the use of students and faculty. It has a collection of more than 4000 medical books, national and international journals in the major disciplines of medical sciences. This library is also having six computers connected to the internet and CDs bank on clinical and basic sciences. Photocopy machine for students and faculty is also available.

Computer Lab

A separate well equipped “IT Department” has been established in the College campus. This lab has thirty computers with internet facility. Training in computer learning is compulsory for all students. The access to information sources through the internet enables students and staff to benefit from recent advancements. In addition to this the faculty members are provided with computer and internet facility in their offices.
